FAQs

  • Therapy is a collaborative process where we will work together to address your concerns and achieve your goals. It can lead to various benefits, including self-discovery, improved relationships, better coping skills, and increased self-esteem. Through exploration and guidance, therapy empowers you to make positive changes in your life.

  • Therapy sessions are typically held weekly and are 45 minutes long. Attending sessions on a weekly basis yields the most optimal results, though session frequency can be adjusted based on your needs. There's no set duration for therapy; some come for short-term solutions, while others continue for ongoing support. Together, we'll determine what works best to achieve your therapeutic goals.

  • To take the first step, schedule a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation. We'll briefly discuss your needs and see if we're a good fit to work together.

  • Currently, all sessions are conducted virtually through a secure video platform.

  • Like most private practices, we operate as an out-of-network provider with all insurances. Clients with out-of-network benefits typically receive between 60% - 80% coverage of session costs after meeting their deductible. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to determine your specific coverage.

  • To understand the specifics of your mental health coverage, call the Member Services number on your insurance card and ask:

Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage?

What is my out-of-network deductible and how much of it has already been met for this year?

Once I reach my deductible at what percentage will I be reimbursed per session?

What is the process for submitting claims?

  • We provide you with monthly invoices (i.e. superbills) that you can submit to your insurance company. The insurance company then processes the claim and reimburses you based on your coverage plan.

  • Payment is due in full at the end of each session. All major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards are accepted.

  • A notice of at least 48 hours is required for cancellation, otherwise, you'll be responsible for the session cost. Please be aware that insurance providers typically do not reimburse missed session fees.
